I just started doing this whole blogging business. I find it so time consuming. Even if we break it down, we still have to blog a lot and theres just no way out to it.

You are right, it does not have to be hard. The problem can be in the old boys who make a lot of the decisions can be slow to make changes. Also, many businesses are so busy with the day to day affairs of running their business, they feel they don’t have time to blog. This short sighted thinking hinders their long term online success and branding.

I always break my longer posts into several smaller posts. I think a blog post should never be longer than 350 words. If its longer than that, split it up!

I hear you, though I do tend to be a bit long winded myself. Your suggestion of breaking up a longer post into a series of posts is an excellent idea, especially for business people who are short of time.

Most business blog posts are too long. I’m not discrediting that folks spent some quality time on them, but geez, I don’t think a blog article should be longer than an article I’d read in a magazine.

Often times a really good article goes South due to length. Most would work better as multiple articles and distributed over a few days. This would not only allow for easier digestion but an incentive for the readers to come back.
