Sunday Morning Goodness – 1 April 2007

Just poking around my feed reader this morning and there is so much great stuff out there you oughtta see. For example,

The Real Estate Tomato dissects a corporate business blogging debacle in Coldwell Banker Just Threw Up All Over The Real Estate Blogosphere. Check out the basics of what it takes for business blogging to be successful that is so completely missing from the Coldwell Banker site.

Over at Wisdump, Scrivs points out that In The Future, Everyone Is A Social Network. Remember, the internet is full of people and we want to interact with other people.

Rajesh Setty gives a perfect example of how NOT to ask for help in I don’t need anything… on his blog, Life Beyond Code. Be honest with folks and you’ll get a lot further.

Grab yourself a cup of coffee and enjoy!

I got blasted on the first item…canned design.

Chris, I guess we’ve gotta get it fixed.

Steve, I think what the folks at Real Estate Tomato meant is that every one of the blogs had exactly the same design. No differentiation at all.

That’s a bit different from selecting one of scores of off the shelf designs offered up by WordPress or TypePad.

Then add in the opportunity for each blogger to customize the look and feel that is completely missing from the Tomato’s example and you are talking about a whole different kind of fruit (vegetable?).

There are so many problems out there and I’m not sure if I can solve it right. I think the major problem is there is not there are not enough skilled people that we can choose from and it is definitely not child play.

I tried a few times to get it right but it never got approved.

The feed reader is slowly becoming like the newspaper… Morning, grab some coffee and sit down and go through your feeds… ah…
