Colin, please tell me you understand the difference between blog authors and commenters. To refuse to visit a site because someone had a misspelling in a comment seems a little harsh.

Tip #8:

Dear Shaz,

A lot is 2 words…if I ever see that mistake on a blog, comment, etc. consider it my last visit.

Their, there, they’re. Two, to, too. Etc. No quicker way to killer readers.

Yes, comments can increase the probability to visit our web pages. But all of them would not comment. That’s the problem. The age of my blog is just 4 months. But with in this period, I have commented or more than 100 pages. But what I received was just 20 approximately. I don’t know the exact science of this.

People say that only 1-2% of readers ever comment anyway. So it takes a bit of time (and patience) to get a few hundred readers so that there will be a big enough percentage to comment.

I think your being patient tip is a very important one. At first it seems like nobody is reading your blog, but people probably are, just not commenting. It seems the longer I blog, it’s about persistence and building up a body of work over time.
