For those of you who wonder where I go when I seem to disappear for a couple days, I thought I’d share a couple photos I took at work around midnight last night.
I had a heck of a time getting my little camera steady enough to get decent shots. Eventually I found something to set it on that seemed to work reasonably well.
I had business on both of these ships last night.
The ships have kept me running wide open for the last few days. It looks like we’ve got a few more days of wildness before it settles down.
Just thought you’d like to know.
Enjoy!

so what do you do on the ships? I work in logistics, so you’ve managed to fascinate me!
Just as an adendum to my previous comment, I take photos of Singapore port all the time. Perhaps it’s interesting to me because I don’t have to work in there… but all the machinery and stuff… just fasinating!
Heya Ozlady! By day (and by night lately) I’m currently what they call a Marine Surveyor. The short version is that I do cargo inspections on behalf of our clients and report back our findings. Our office here in Savannah covers the coast from here down to Jacksonville, FL.
I just counted in my head and there are more than 20 different terminals in that area, which means I spend a good deal of time on the road.
Good pics, Chris. Though I am missing the nice and bright blue hulls in there
Ollie, you know I never actually worked for Big Blue, although they do have a lot of activity here in Savannah. I did spend a little time with the second largest steamship line, though.
