It is all about that Firefox!! So much things that are fun to customize…and you can make your own widgets easily!! Widget should be the word for 08!! Widgets in 08!! See how catchy it is!! Try it on your friends and family!!

But again Firefox crushes competition….until it crashes for no reason…

Someone managed to sneak in a copy of Firefox to our workplace about a year ago. Internet Explorer only hit an intranet site, so everyone LOVED having Firefox available.

I tried it and fell in love. So many useful plugins – especially for developers trying to learn CSS editing.

Dave, I did give it a go. Part of the trouble is I’ve been a FF user for so long that I struggled adjusting to a browser that was less “FireFox-like” than the others. I’m not against change if I can see potential benefits but Opera didn’t seem any better than the others to me.

Couple that with the frustration of looking up every single password because it won’t play nice with 1Password like all the other browsers and Opera is just not the browser for me.

Seriously I love Safari but I’m having problems with pdf files. They always crash the browser. And of course there’s the occasional site that won’t support Safari but they are few and getting fewer.

David, You guys did a GREAT job with 1Password. Would I be out of place to mention the promotion y’all are running right now? I see you’ve offered Macworld subscribers 1Password for free.

I bought it before you started this campaign. And it was well worth the $30!

Do you ever think you’d develop an application like this for Windows? I don’t know how I got along without something like 1Password before I made the switch to Mac.

You guys did a good job with it.

Great post! I have the same problem on OS X – there are so many great browsers to chose from it is hard to decide. On Windows it was an easy choice

I really like the new Safari 3, especially the resizable textareas, like the one I’m typing in now. In Firefox I would normally type my comment in TextMate and then paste it over, but in Safari I just resize it to my liking and type away.

Firefox is still my primary browser, however, as I need a lot of the extensions for development.

Switching between browsers used to be a real pain because each one has it’s own password storage. This was actually one of the main reasons why Roustem and I wrote 1Password
