A new company would be purchased and all of a sudden all of the engineering staff would jump ship -- becoming a millionaire overnight seems to have that effect on people! Then it was difficult to integrate those new products as the right people were gone. No, I think that the Yahoo folks might be okay here ... the ones that could probably find other jobs without trouble anyway. I don't know what to say to the general office worker. Sorry? Hmmm... As a previous MS employee, all I can say is that they treat their employees pretty well -- even the new ones that are purchased. I had to hand it to Bill on that one. I worked for Cisco too, and while it was a great company it didn't compare to Microsoft.
