All animals are equal but some are more equal than others… an animal is an animal and all animals must have freedom and justice.. let them rule.. let them do all they like but all we are asking for is just freedom and justice..

Thanks for this. Last Thanksgiving Day, Michael Medved did a show about all of the incidents in American History that point to the action of Divine Providence in forming and preserving this nation. It was extremely moving.

As to Stephen’s comment, we survived the 60′s and 70′s. This, too, shall pass.

I’m pretty happy that we won the war for Independence. If we hadn’t, things would be a lot different now. Our Constitution is great, and it protects us from a lot of horrible things. Long live America!

Stephen, I guess time will tell.

Mark, As amazing as that is, that George Washington himself voluntarily stepped down after leading the army through 8 years of war and earning the soldier’s loyalty is truly a historical rarity. As Thomas Jefferson later said of Washington,

“The moderation and virtue of a single character probably prevented this Revolution from being closed, as most others have been, by a subversion of that liberty it was intended to establish.”

It is amazing how many times around the world has seen exactly that happen in the last 200+ years that Jefferson said those words. One man can make a difference by doing what is right!

I’m always amazed when–at the end of 4 years or 8 years–the president steps down voluntarily. For all the problems we’ve got, that’s a pretty amazing statement against despotism.
