I remenber the Godess Izanami of Japanese Myth as soon as i hear the film “the Last Samurai Bushido”.
You may be able to remenber the Goddess,if you know the head story of that famous moive .
Indeed Special steel works of Hitachi Metals is located on yasugi-shi shimane-ken(ancient name Izumo) Japan where Izanami’s grave is also located.And also they only makes the raw steel of samurai sword “Wakou(Japan Steel)” by using ancient steel making method “tatara”.
Izumo Myth also says that land name “yasugi” was named by iron and Steel God”Susanoo”who is the son of Izanami.And also Susanoo got the imperial and holy balde “ame-no-murakumo-no-turugi” which is the one of Three Sacred Treasures from the
eight head dragon “yamata-no-orochi”.it is wrote in the oldest book “Kojiki” in Japan..
That makes me feel the mystery more than a chance agreement.

Like I said, John. I too chalked it up to a character flaw at first. And maybe it is.

Trouble is we don’t know what our destiny is until after it is revealed. Therefore doing what we can as long as we can seems a better choice to me.

Inspirational message… except that if you keep getting up everytime you’re knocked down, then the destiny you discover might be to get the tar kicked out of you until you *can’t* get back up.

There is a kind of magic in the doing that we never experience if we lie down and take it. Or if we refuse to stand up and act in order to play it safe.

This is sometimes the “moment of truth” not only for an individual but also for a business, an organization or even a nation.

I’m just finishing Brand’s biography of Andrew Jackson and am amazed how he kept getting up time and again when others would have called it quits.
