Roger, Unfortunately I don't think it was a case of a bad day. I did some research after this whole thing and it seems likely that "Amanda Chapel" is a pseudonym for either a guy or for several different folks.

Either way she/he/they are very hostile to business blogging (even though she/he/they blog - go figure) and seem to spew nastiness anytime they intersect anyone suggesting business involves people relating to one another and not just dollars flowing through the economy.

Dumb, if you ask me.

Once we move out of the hourly wage category our lives and our careers are forever intertwined. To paraphrase Aristotle (I think he said this) The true mark of genius is to be able to keep two differing opinions in the same mind. When we can keep a balance between the two opposing opinions - Work all Day vs. Play all Day we can be happier.

On top of that, don't we all have days where we really just want things to go our way. Maybe she was just dealing with some tough clients.

There are those who fight against change when that change is not going their way. Perhaps she is one of those people too.

I hope the "contest" clean-up was complete and effective.

Personal and Business Life Always Mix...

It’s pretty obvious that Ms. Chapel is a very angry person with issues that are beyond the scope of our knowledge, but it does provide for a great example as to how your personal issues and beliefs can affect how you communicate with people...

Great thoughts and points, Chris. I love your last two paragraphs. The world would be a better place without Chapel's weird vitriol.
