Thanks for visiting!
Got tagged by Director Tom with the Page 123 meme. He tagged me via Twitter, which is a new twist.
The point of this meme is to take whatever book you are reading right now and share sentences 6-8 on page 123. Here it goes.

Right now I’m reading Who Are You Really, and What Do You Want? by Shad Helmstetter.
Gorgeous and I had a chance to meet the author a couple years back in Nashville. Actually Gorgeous had lunch with him, if I remember right. He even signed her copy of the book, which is the one I’m reading at the moment.
Anyway, here’s what is on page 123:
“So imagine the best. Dream big. You can count on this rule to always keep your feet on the ground - even if your head is in the clouds.”
Tagging Others
What good is a meme if you don’t share it?
I’m sure some of y’all have been tagged with this already.
That’s OK. You should be onto a different book by now anyway.

When Hosting Goes Bad
January 3, 2008
Web hosting is not a 100% thing. I tell people that while most reputable hosts legitimately claim 99% up time things do break. It doesn’t matter whether they are mechanical or electronic. Bad things happen from time to time.
That 99% figure is an average. What that means is that during any given month your web host’s server could be down for 7 hours or more and still qualify. Or, say they only had one outage during the whole year. That same 99% up time claim could be true if the server went down for 3 days straight.
Crazy. But true.
A Recent Case Study
Between Christmas and New Years I noticed a friend’s web site was down. Because April is a close friend of the Cree house I shot her an email, asked what’s up and if there was anything I could do to help.
April said she’d initially panicked when she saw the error message but had already contacted her web host and they were performing a server update. They assured her all would be back to normal shortly.
On April’s web site she’s got two different blogs, My Beautiful Chaos and Making Life Work for You. When the server update was done everything looked like it was OK with her second blog.
But there was some lingering Chaos on My Beautiful Chaos.

CREEating Value
It’s been a while but we’re getting back on track with this feature here at SuccessCREEations.
Periodically I go through my feed reader and pull out a few gems that bring value to you as a business blogger.
With over 80 million blogs out there finding a few that are worthy of making it to your feed reader can be a challenge. So I’m trying to make that a little easier by pointing out some great blogs that I have in my reader that you may or may not have seen yet.
So without further ado, here are this week’s juicy finds.
Enjoy!
Letting me be . . . random wondering and philosophy (feed) - Did you know Liz Strauss has other blogs besides Successful-Blog? She does. If you are looking for a little thoughtful reflection check out her blog over on Blogger with storytelling that brings back memories.
Google Public Policy Blog (feed) - As long as we are talking about blogs running on Blogger, you might want to check out the Google Public Policy Blog. Worried about Big Brother learning too much about your web habits? Here’s where you can find out what Big Brother himself has to say about all that. They recently had a good post explaining their position on Net Neutrality. Well worth the read.
Making Life Work For You (feed) - Let’s round out this edition with a brand new business blogger who is doing a fantastic job right out of the gate. April Groves is a local Realtor who is blogging to promote her business. But she gets the whole thing about providing value to her readers and she shares much more than just real estate information. (Did I mention she’s a good friend of Gorgeous?) She’s only been blogging a few short months, but she’s well on her way. I expect we’ll see great things from her.
There you have it. This week’s blogs that are CREEating Value. It’s hard to believe this feature has been resting since before SOBCon. I’m finally finding my old groove again. Glad to be back!

Opi Tag - It Was Never Played In Mayberry
June 13, 2007
There’s more tagging going on. This time April Groves has reached out with an new twist - Opi Tag.
Now you might think that sounds like something they played back in Mayberry. And maybe they should have but that was a different Opie.
The idea is to describe something about your future in the past tense.
Here’s how April explains it.
I introduce to you, the “Opi.†Comes from the Greek word “opiso.†Now, I am no Greek scholar so I maybe way off…but I searched for “future you†in a greek dictionary, this word popped up and I liked it, so I used it. It refers to the hereafter. The Opi is to be written of the future you in the present tense.
The future you in the past tense… Hmmm… That’s pretty challenging.
Well here it goes. Read more
