Drawn to a Dustup like Moths to a Porch Light

We human beings are strange creatures. We seem to be hardwired to be compelled to slow down and look at conflict and carnage.
Remember in high school when a fight would break out how the kids would stand back and start cheering rather than try to break it up?
Or can you tell me why a car wreck on the highway will cause a traffic jam in the other direction as well while each car passing slows down enough to get the best look possible at the carnage?
When Rosie O’Donnell and Donald Trump have a silly ongoing argument it makes the national news for days.
Just Like Everyone Else
I guess I’m just like everyone else in that department.
I must be as morbidly entertained by a brouhaha as the next person because when a blogging friend of mine mentioned this one to me in a conversation we had over the weekend I put it on my list of things to check out when I got a chance.
This morning I got a chance to take a peek.
The Dustup
Apparently two guys I consider friends of SuccessCREEations, Blog Bloke and Darren Rowse, had a bit of a tiff in the comments section of the post More Pillars of Exceptional Blogs.
Read down through the comments of that post. I felt like I should have been munching on some popcorn while I read that thread. Read more

As we work through the current series on Promoting Your Blog with Social Networking Sites, it is important that we pause for a moment and remember that ultimately business is about people and not about stats.
Business blogging is no different.
Show Me The Money
I’ve had discussions in the past with folks who subscribe to the conventional wisdom that Business is about money. That thinking misses the mark.
People ultimately control the money.
You build relationships with clients and customers, who are ultimately real people - even when the clients are businesses - and the money will follow in a solid stream.
You try to short circuit that reality and your income flow will be less certain and less steady. Read more

CREEating Value - 10 January 2007
January 10, 2007

CREEating Value - About once a week I go through my feed reader and pull out a few gems that bring value to you as a business blogger. Here are this weeks juicy finds.
Enjoy!
BusinessBlogWire (feed) - Easton Ellsworth is one of the driving forces behind the Know More Media blog network and is the creator of Blogtipping. BusinessBlogWire focuses on Fortune 500 blogging and is a great source for business blog info.
InstaBLOKE (feed) - The Blog Bloke does a great job of passing along the “how to’s” of blogging without jumping onto the latest fad bandwagon. His humorous style is entertaining and informative. A great addition to a business blogger’s feed reader.
The Dilbert Blog (feed) - Scott Adams is best known as the creator of the Dilbert cartoons. His blog however is thoughtful and full of big, world impacting ideas. I often don’t agree with what Scott has to say. But I rarely leave one of his posts without doing some serious thinking about his ideas. It’s a great place to go when you want a challenge.
