Thanks for visiting!
Got tagged by Director Tom with the Page 123 meme. He tagged me via Twitter, which is a new twist.
The point of this meme is to take whatever book you are reading right now and share sentences 6-8 on page 123. Here it goes.

Right now I’m reading Who Are You Really, and What Do You Want? by Shad Helmstetter.
Gorgeous and I had a chance to meet the author a couple years back in Nashville. Actually Gorgeous had lunch with him, if I remember right. He even signed her copy of the book, which is the one I’m reading at the moment.
Anyway, here’s what is on page 123:
“So imagine the best. Dream big. You can count on this rule to always keep your feet on the ground - even if your head is in the clouds.”
Tagging Others
What good is a meme if you don’t share it?
I’m sure some of y’all have been tagged with this already.
That’s OK. You should be onto a different book by now anyway.

Tagged with Joe’s Promise
September 18, 2007
I’ve been keeping a very low profile on the bloggosphere of late. I’ve my reasons. I’m keeping my eye on my priorities. All is well.
This morning Liz Strauss tagged me with Joe’s Promise.
You see, Joe had been keeping a low profile too. He explained what happened in his post about a week back when he wrote My Promise to the Blogging Community.
Joe’s Promise
- I will be sure to comment on other Blogs if I can add to the conversation.
- I will respond to comments on my own Blog.
- I will acknowledge any links to my Blog with a comment on the linker’s Blog.
- I will continue to link to other Blogs that are pertinent to a posts content.
- I will once again be a part of the Blogging Community.
- That is my promise to the Community as a whole, in part, and individually.
If you feel you are losing some of the interaction that is an integral part of Blogging, you may want to join me in this Promise to the Community.
It’s a good set of promises to keep, whether you are brand new to blogging, or whether you are an old hat that like me that has been focused elsewhere.
If that is you, then just pick up the words, post them on your blog, and link back to Joe’s post. Tag it “Joe’s Promise,” and pass it on.
And to do my part passing it on, how about we hear from April, Jesse, Jason, Troy, Rick, and Dawud.

When the Required Information is Too Much Information
July 23, 2007
I’m not a big fan of the whole meme thing. In fact I intentionally mispronounce the word because it drives people like Liz Strauss nuts.
But now on the latest one going around the Bloggisphere I ducked when Robyn McMaster tagged me earlier. But then managed to get tagged twice on Friday, by Connie Reece and by Doug Meacham.
So I thought I better get Eight Random Things About Me out of the way and save the rest of y’all from tagging me. But I’m gonna warn you, this might be perceived as a little too much information. I’m just saying.
1. I grew up an only child, but I have a brother and a sister. Yep. It’s true. I’m 18 years older than my sister and 20 older than my brother. Same parents. Same marriage. Just a big gap. (And I can’t get either of them blog. Go figure.)
2. I had shoulder length curly blond hair when I was in high school. Hey, it was the 80’s. I though I looked cool.
3. Speaking of school days, my folks had horses when I was growing up. Arabians. I showed them. English saddle, not western. I knew even then that wasn’t as cool.
4. I don’t like yard work especially with love bugs thrown into the mix. That post is gross. Head over at your own risk.
5. I grew up just a few miles near a couple different ski areas in the Northeast. When school was closed we’d go up to the slopes because we all had season passes. But the last time I was on skis was over 10 years ago in the Austrian Alps. Kinda spoiled me.
6. My goatee covers the scar on my chin that I got when I wiped out on my roller blades, also over 10 years ago in Forsyth Park less than a block from this fountain.
7. I’m a dog guy whose converted to cat ownership. I think there is a good case for cat’s being more manly pets than dogs, but they get a bad wrap. In spite of that, I’ve found our cats in the dog house a time or two.
8. Finally I got my new Mac up and running over the weekend. It was less than two hours before I told one of my computer professional friends, “You gotta get one of these!” To which was told that
Every new Mac convert immediately starts proselytizing trying to convince all PC folks that Macs will save the world.
Macs aren’t going to save the world. But seriously, you gotta get one of these!
Now to tag 8 other victims. How about Joe, Tony, Dawud, Christine, April, Carolyn, Easton, and Terry.
All right folks. What do you say? Care to share 8 things about yourselves?

Opi Tag - It Was Never Played In Mayberry
June 13, 2007
There’s more tagging going on. This time April Groves has reached out with an new twist - Opi Tag.
Now you might think that sounds like something they played back in Mayberry. And maybe they should have but that was a different Opie.
The idea is to describe something about your future in the past tense.
Here’s how April explains it.
I introduce to you, the “Opi.†Comes from the Greek word “opiso.†Now, I am no Greek scholar so I maybe way off…but I searched for “future you†in a greek dictionary, this word popped up and I liked it, so I used it. It refers to the hereafter. The Opi is to be written of the future you in the present tense.
The future you in the past tense… Hmmm… That’s pretty challenging.
Well here it goes. Read more

Starbucker Meme
June 2, 2007
Ach! I’ve been tagged!
I don’t know why it is, but I don’t seem to do meme well. Usually I just give a little wave as they go flying by. Sometimes more than once.
But for some reason, this time with the Starbucker Meme, I’m in.
Here’s the “rules” for this one:
Here’s an opportunity to let your creativity flow. Tell us:
1. How full is your glass?
2. What kind of glass is it?
3. What’s in the glass?
4. Reasons for #1, #2, and #3
Ok. Now for my answers.

- Bottomless!
- Definitely a coffee mug (my current favorite is a memento from our last visit to Wisconsin)
- Hi-test fully caffeinated coffee (with a little half & half and something sweet)
- I’m usually running wide open from project to project, often with very little sleep. The coffee helps keep me going. So we keep it free flowing like a bottomless cup. And I like to have something I can hold hold onto so that handle on the mug works well for me.

And now Look Out! ‘Cause I’m going Tag-Happy! Making up for lost time, I guess.
So I’m tagging the following wonderful folks to share with us in this meme. Raise your glasses high (and tell us about them while you’re at it!)
(And thanks Liz for the cool bloggy tag button.)
