As long as we’re on a a Facebook roll this week, I thought I’d share this little video I found via Cherly Smith’s blog. Over and above the TOS issue, the video pretty much sums up the things I don’t like about Facebook.

Check it out. 25 Things I Hate About Facebook – What do you hate about Facebook?

i start to review my account in facebook. Some people say, the facebook is actually is where people can investigate our background, our family, our friend etc. It make me feel scared to upload my photo. Do not know how true it is.

LOL loved number 3 – birthdays. Was my birthday a few days ago and I had quite a few posts on my wall. I was unsure on the facebook etiquette as to how to respond… should you private message? Should you write a thank you on their wall??

I opted for ignoring them all!

Great points. Personally I hate that everyone in my network are announced when i add something to a friends wall. For the same reason I usually send a private message, but that takes the hoel meaning out of a social network.

I should rearrange my friends list.

I have never been a meme fan wherever I am. The 25 things meme has been going around and so many friends have tagged me in it to get me to do it. I never do it, so I guess they keep seeing I haven’t so keep tagging me. Gah!

What I can’t stand about this social network is the gargantuan amount of invites, causes, events, and third-party programs you get invited to. And all these require you to share your profile, thereby making your identity more vulnerable to spammers and unwelcomed marketing. People are beginning to exploit these SNS for their own marketing efforts, and we’re feeling the brunt of it.

LOL! Funny video. My pet peeve lately is people tagging me in some random video then all my friends go look to see if I’m in the video (which of course, I’m not). Very annoying. I now send a standard reply to anyone who tags me inappropriately. It’s a nice reply but it clearly says “please don’t do this again and here’s how to use tags appropriately.”

Allison, The good news is I believe you can “untag” yourself from things that others have tagged on Facebook if you like. Even so it is a pain to have to keep track of “tag spam”.

well I’m new to facebook and my complain is, it is very complicated I mean for a new user off course if I tried to understand it in time I would but its just not like other social networking site that is plain neat and very simple to understand this facebook is totally different but it looks like it has more features than our old social networking sites like myspace, I actually joined this because I got invited by my friends and I was just trying it out.

I love this video. Thank Chris, I can’t wait to share this blog post with my girlfriend. She has been asking me for the last month to log into facebook to read her 25 things list, and I think it is so funny. I try to only login to facebook a couple times a month because lately I haven’t been finding it fun anymore.

But seriously, all of the stuff in this video is so true.

I haven’t noticed any creepy ads, so im not sure what he is talking about for #21. But lately I have noticed all of my ads are how to make money with ad sense. That is what i don’t currently like about facebook. Anyone else noticing this lately?

Facebook? I never realy could get into Facebook. I am not sure if it is because I am to lazy to bother or if the idea of posting my pictures for the public to see scares me… Either way never bothered with it.
After their change of TOS I doubt I ever will now.

I just started using Facebook this month. Spent waaaaaay too much time on it the first few days. Stayed away from it for a week because it can be addicting.

What I do not like are all the ‘bead’s and ‘candy’. Guess I’m too old to get it.

That is a BRILLIANT VIDEO. Perhaps of limited entertainment to those who don’t use Facebook,… but that group’s getting smaller and smaller by the day. Made me laugh so much I want to share a video, (for once!).

I have a twin, and we had a mini competition last year as to who would get the most happy birthday comments. Its just a credit to the genericness of facebook comments that we’d treat birhday wishes like commodities :P

Say what you will about Facebook–particularly about the redesign–but they have again and again picked up market share. Over the past three years they’ve made MySpace go from social networking powerhouse to completely irrelevant. Lately their target has been LinkedIn. Since Facebook started accepting users of all ages–not only those in high school–it has solidly and continually eaten into LinkedIn’s market share. Now a lot of professional/business networking is being done on Facebook. Believe me, there are things to dislike with the website, but it’s not going anywhere.

This was such a funny video. At first I didn’t think I would like it because I love Facebook, but everything he said was indeed true, and the icing on the cake was that he admitted in an annotation he likes Facebook, but these are just small things that get him. I agree; Facebook is great, but like anything, there are some negative aspects.

But of course these are just some small negative aspects that Facebook has… I still enjoy my facebook and continue visiting it. lol

Hilarious video! I can’t resist chiming in here because facebook has been a past addiction but is now a slightly unnerving. I have well over 40 friends from high school — people I barely remember and haven’t seen in over 10 years.

My latest pet peeve — we all have those friends who incessantly update their status, but what about the ones who can’t stop using the word “is,” whether it applies grammatically or not. “Adam Spector is just watched Shaun of the Dead”

One last thing — facebook should offer users the option to include the instant messenger.

I would like it if they put stats on there to prevent me from spending precious nose picking time checking people’s holiday snaps!

As much as so many people dislike facebook (I was one of them for a long time), it does seem to be the best social site. I refused to use myspace, and always will. There are other choices like hi5 and such, but most people use facebook.

I think it would be cool to start a social website/app that connects all different social sites in one? This way whatever different platforms your friends are using, it doesn’t matter.

I saw on the news that when you delete photos on facebook that they actually leave them up. So you think that your embarassing picture from that drunk night you can’t remember is gone, its not. You should try it, go to facebook, go to your pictures, click on one, copy the url, save it, delete the pic, wait a month and go back. I’ll be you anything its still there.
