You may have noticed I’ve added something to the right sidebar.
If you scroll down you will see a section that says “Leave a Voice Comment”. Inside is a widget that will allow you to do just that that is provided by a service called Evoca.
I’ll tell you right up front that Evoca is a company based right here in Savannah, so I’m very excited to see how this works out for folks. Gotta support the home team, you know!
Basically the service seems to me to be similar to YouTube, but for audio recordings not video.
You can make your own recordings and they will host them for free. And we all know how much I like free! Then you can send someone a link to a recording like, say to a Welcome Message for SuccessCREEations.
Or you can copy some code from the Evoca web site and past a player with that recording right in your blog like I’ve done here with that same message.
But that’s not the best part.
The Best Part
The best part is that you can have a recorder like I’ve got in the side bar over there where folks can record comments for your blog. Do you want to increase the dialog with your readers? With Evoca you can do that.
Or maybe audio will add a new dimension to your blog and maybe allow you to be you more effective at getting your message out.
Either way Evoca can be a tremendous asset to your blog. Go ahead and test it out. Leave a voice comment right here and I’ll see about getting them posted.
